At Baller Link Up, we believe that player development extends far beyond the football pitch.

We are committed to creating a safe, professional and inclusive environment where players can develop their football ability, build confidence, strengthen character and pursue opportunities at every stage of their journey.

Whether a player is taking their first steps into structured football, seeking progression into academy football, or rebuilding following academy release, our responsibility remains the same: to place player welfare, development and safeguarding at the centre of everything we do.

Our policies and governance framework have been developed to ensure that all players, parents, coaches, staff and partners understand the standards we uphold and the responsibilities we share.

We recognise that trust is earned through transparency, professionalism and consistency. For this reason, we are committed to operating in accordance with recognised safeguarding principles, equality legislation, data protection requirements and industry best practice.

Our Philosophy

Football can be one of the most rewarding experiences in a young person's life.

It can build confidence, resilience, discipline, leadership, teamwork and lifelong friendships.

However, football can also bring challenges.

Players may experience disappointment, injury, rejection, loss of confidence, deselection, academy release or uncertainty regarding their future.

At Baller Link Up, we believe every player deserves access to high-quality support, guidance and opportunities regardless of their current level or circumstances.

Our programmes have been designed not only to develop better footballers, but to help develop confident, resilient and well-rounded young people.

No player should ever feel unsafe, intimidated, excluded or unsupported within a Baller Link Up environment.

We expect all coaches, staff, players, parents and visitors to contribute positively towards maintaining this culture.

Safeguarding

Baller Link Up is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

We recognise our responsibility to provide a safe environment for all players and take all safeguarding concerns seriously.

Our safeguarding framework includes:
